THE COMEBACK OF LEOPARD-PRINTS

In the fashion industry, leopard-prints had always been one of the most popular prints that appropriately fitted into any type of occasions. From red carpet to fashion runways, photoshoots, or just a relax day chilling out with your friends. Furthermore, the print is so popular, that from celebrities from all around the world to ordinary fashionistas who loves fashion and determine to portray it on a daily basis.


In the Lookbook 2010 by Dolce and Gabbana, the leopard-prints appear on two supermodels with different styling and length of the pants.




This is the official Roberto Cavalli wallpaper that featured England's No.1 supermodel, Kate Moss in a leopard-print chiffon frock.




Maggie Q wore the leopard-print dress in a photoshoot for the Emmy magazine.

Singer Kylie Minogue wore a Balmain oversized leopard-print coat which was also featured in the Balmain Fall/Winter 2010 Fashion Show.




On the red carpet of 2011 Asian Model Festival Awards, Kim So Yeon was seen wearing a Blumarine leopard-prints, which was also shown on the Blumarine Fashion Show.


Actress Gong Hyo Jin, attending the press conference for her new drama "Pasta" on the 28th of Dec. 2010 in a wool leopard cardigan from Chloe Sevigny Opening Ceremony with a pricetag of $380.




In Ho Chi Minh at the opening of Ruco Shop on the 19th of April 2011, singer Yến Nhi attend the opening in a leopard-print skirts, while Ellen, the shop owner donned a cute chiffon leopard-prints longsleeve with tuck in black pants.




As you can see, leopard-prints is such a useful pattern that in whatever occasions you're attending, it will make you stand out among the crowd that you're in without being too much. Not only did Hollywood stars liked this trend, even in Asian countries such as Korea or Vietnam, this trend remain its popularity in the society. It is so popular that in every teenager's closet, there must be at least an item that has leopard-prints on it. I personally have a leopard-print skirt which I bought at Forever 21 when I was in Bangkok:




Here are a few tips that will helps you when you are interested in having a fun day with this fun pattern:


- the leopard-print should be the statement piece in your outfit (avoid using too much accessories)
- try to be more interesting by playing with different color palette instead of sticking with the color of the original leopard-prints
- a leopard-print pumps/clutch/bag will make a whole difference to your neutral outfit (grey, nude, white, black)
- try pairing leopard-prints top with simple high-waisted skirt/long pants/short pants
