BRIGHT COLORS - A COLORFUL FASHION INDUSTRY

Out with the neutral, in with the bright and vibrant colors! The fashion industry are now more focused on colors that are bold, such as fuschia, tangerine orange, the emerald green, etc... These bold colors are not only attractive, but it created a fresh atmosphere wherever you portray this new trend.


At the YSL (Yves Saint Laurent) Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Show, orange chiffon blouse was seen all over the runways.

On the Hermes Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Show, the fashion designer showed a complete tangerine outfit on the runway of Paris.

The famous Korean actress, Kim So Eun was spotted on the new issue of Céci magazine in a fashion spread in fuschia and tangerine fashion designer clothes.

Camilla Belle appeared on the Mexico Glamour magazine the March issue 2011 in an emerald green frock from the Gucci Spring/Summer 2011 Collection.

STRIPES IS THE MUST-HAVE ITEM

Stripes is one of the simplest pattern, made up of vertical lines across the fabric. The pattern allows the fashion designer to apply different types of fabric onto their design. The stripes is so simple and popular, that from red carpet to hanging out with friends is easy to mix, fit, appropriate and bold. The stripes are especially popular when the sailor trend was introduced. 

In the Prada 2011 Spring/Summer Fashion Show, stripes was unoriginally used since the designer mix bright colors with the stripes to create varieties in the simple pattern.

In the Marc Jacobs ready-to-wear Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Show, the designer focused on stripes, playing around with bright and vibrant colors such as fuschia and orange. 

In the Jill Sander Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Show, model Theres Alexandersson wore a white-and-purple stripe on the runway.

Actress Yoon Eun Hye was saw wearing a Prada striped dress in a photoshoot for a fashion magazine.

The Korean famous singer, Lee Hyori wore a black-and-white striped shirt in a photoshoot for the Singles magazine May edition.

NUDE IS THE NEW BLACK

In the fashion industry, black and white has always been the two neutral color that works perfectly together in whatever occasion you're attending to. But in 2010, nude is considered as the "new black". Suprisingly, a subtle color as nude could fit into anything. From a colorful printed dress to simple black kaki pants, everything could be easily paired with a pair of nude pumps, clutch, handbags or even accessories. The trend is so widely known, that not even Hollywood celebrities are in love with the new black, but the color itself is the new phenomenon in the fashion industry.

In Korea as the SNSD arrived at the Seoul's airport, Sunny, one of the members wore a nude cape of the Korean luxury designer brand, Coming Step.

Singer Hồ Ngọc Hà wore a complete nude color outfit onstage during a performance in Hồ Chí Minh City.

Miss Vietnam Mai Phương Thúy wore a sparkling nude dress, designed by Hoàng Hải, a Vietnamese designer. The show was located in Đà Nẵng on the 1st of May.

From all around, nude is the new neutral color that created a phenomenon in the fashion industry. The simplicity of the color makes it easier for people to mix and match outfits that does not only look simple, but attractive at the same time. I personally like this trend because it is very simple. I could just go out with my friends in a nude colored shirt with jeans and gladiators without spending too much time picking through my closet. It is extremely convinience and that even myself, I have a few nude colored shirts in my closet.

- nude pumps matches with anything as it will allow your legs to look longer and slimmer
- when you wear a nude colored top, avoid mixing it with bright colors
- best suited nude tops/pants with other neutral colors such as white or black
